Processor Instruction set Overview
PowerPC is defined as Performance Optimization With Enhanced RISC Performance Computing.

PowerPC is a 32/64 bit instruction set for microprocessors derived from POWER. This architecture has recently taken over the game console market. This architecture can be found in Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in the processor Xenon, Nintendo’s GameCube and Wii using the Wii U processor, and Sony’s PlayStation 3 using the cell processor.
